Daytime Forest

Last semester I didn't have enough time to do everything that I wanted to with my forest paintings. I felt disappointed and unfulfilled because I knew I could do better... so I decided that I would do better! I took progress pictures along the way because I like to go back and evaluate my process, but I thought I'd share a few of them since it's kind of cool to watch the forest grow, get annihilated, and then grow again.

Above is the painting I had to turn in last semester.

Below are the changes I made over winter break along with the finished version.

  2. Thanks :D! It's actually in acrylic, so it wasn't too hard to layer the new forest over the old one.
